I'm trying to get out of my relationship with DH, we own a house that we only bought back in November and I have 2 DC's, he is getting worse and despite my best efforts there is nothing I can do to save this marriage, I want to split but I'm scared, would I be able to stay in my house, would I be entitled to money from DH? Please advise as you can, thanks.

You would be entitled to maintenence from ds ( i think the amount depends on his income)
I think you are entitled to the house until you youngest is 16 or leaves full time education, but you would need to be able to afford the mortgage.

Hopefully this will bump the topic and someone wiser will come along and help you.

sorry tiana about your troubles

you absolutely must get a solicitor

you will be entitled to money for DCs if DH has income
you may be entitled to maintenance payments for yourself, it depends on your circumstances

you may be able to stay in the house if out of your joint income and capital you (with Dcs) and DH can both afford housing, otherwise it may have to be sold.
