The Yawnsville Acute Hospitals NHS Trust has a weight management service dispensing Saxenda/Wegovy for those that meet the criteria (which she would have done - BMI 35 or above with co-morbidities), referral via the GP. There is a massive wait list now so they will want to discharge people from the service. Perhaps Yawn’s more unfocused behaviour and admissions of falling off the wagon time with discharge from the service? Who knows!

Beetlekiwi · 05/10/2023 00:06

Seemingly someone sent £5000 to Castle for coaching services, only to discover it was a fake account 👀 Don’t worry the police are being informed….

“I’ll take things that didn’t happen for $800 Alex”🤣

I had the same thought. The research done with regard to the weight loss drugs has determined that most people will be on it for life. If you are taking it for type 2 diabetes then this would be the case.
Due to its amazing weight loss , side effect, it is being widely abused and there is a global shortage. I’ve heard on the grapevine that prescribers and pharmacies are prioritising diabetics rather than for weight loss.
But yes, current NHS guidelines allow the drugs for up to two years. Since the drugs curb appetite then when you stop you get your appetite back.

Angrymum22 · 05/10/2023 00:18

Sorry the research has shown once you stop the drug the weight piles back on and then some.

PieonaBarm · 05/10/2023 07:03

I watched Castle and Mr Castle yesterday. Castle had been the hospital but wasn't telling us what had gone on except to say she had some "medication" but was fine. She later announced her Mum had sent her a lot of reels about having a shit. So she's constipated, which is unsurprising as she's generally full of shit but surprising because she eats so much juiced celery it should be leaking out of her. Hope they didn't give her an enema.

Mr Castle showing us his muscles in the gym again. His Dadbod PT doesn't seem to be setting the world alight, there's never any clients in his videos, just him hanging around a seemingly empty gym and then a look at what supplements he's taking.

I was thinking about Yawns bizarre tyre / weight gain video, it's 2 yrs since her transformation began (according to her) and that's the NHS recommended length of time for someone to be on WeGovy / Ozempic / Saxenda for weightloss. I wonder if yawn was under the nhs weightloss service and has had this prescribed and now that's ending and she can't afford to continue with it privately

The NHS has only just started prescribing semaglutide for weight loss this last month. She's also lost more and more consistently than semaglutide would lead to and with no sign of having to stop earlier this year when the supply issues started. I doubt it's semaglutide, much more likely to have been surgery. She's too confident in the weight loss and too consistent for it to be anything else IMO.

Use of semaglutide to treat chronic obesity isn't 'abuse'. Just saying.

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 05/10/2023 07:40

I can't see how it could be surgery; when she was posting pics of her meals they were quite big; from friends who've had sleeves, they'd be lucky to get more than a tablespoon of food in for the first few months, and tiny portions for the rest of their lives. Yawn's 'French toast and protein mousse' 🤢 wouldn't last five seconds before it bounced back up again.

Sugarplum48 · 05/10/2023 07:43

Yawn would get more respect if she was honest about her weight loss and the new struggle she now faces now the drugs have been stopped and showing the reality of trying to maintain it going forward. She may well put on a few stone now.

WilkinsonM · 05/10/2023 07:43

True. It could have been semaglutide but it wouldn't have been on the NHS and she'd probably have had to come off it in recent months if so. It's true that she's been wobbling a bit so maybe she has 🤷🏼‍♀️

Agree. Also agree that it's not 'abuse'. She should just be honest, but I don't think honestly is in her DNA

YouOKHun · 05/10/2023 09:29

Saxenda has been available on the NHS for those who fit the criteria since late 2020. They’ve been prescribing it at the NHS weight management clinic mentioned above, though Saxenda now has supply problems due to demand but it wasn’t the case 18 months ago.

Whatever method she’s used the weight loss sure ain’t down to FLP products.

Spongebobette · 05/10/2023 09:50

If FLP was the wonderful solution to weight loss why has she not been successful in all the years and years of C9s and protein shakes and supplements and gel drinking????

and gym membership

It can be obtained privately from online pharmacies. It is known to be used for weight management (off licence) in the USA. It is only available in the UK under strict criteria on the NHS one of which is that after 2yrs it’s withdrawn.
It is being abused by people who are not clinically obese.
A new drug, in the same family , has just been released which is even more efficacious.
Weight management is abuse but weight loss to treat obesity is not.
Sadly studies have shown that when the drugs are stopped weight gain is significant which is why it’s likely to be a lifelong treatment for the clinically obese. It does not treat the underlying eating disorder.

Angrymum22 · 05/10/2023 12:33

Sorry that’s confusing. Post weight loss the drugs may be necessary for weight maintenance. The drug is being abused by people who are not obese but want to maintain their weight. It worries me that eating disorder groups online ( young girls mainly) will tap into this drug. It’s easy to get round online pharmacy questions and obtain the drugs privately.

Howsimplywonderful · 05/10/2023 15:41

I see Castle seems to be experiencing bowel
blockage issues. That is a side effect of Ozempic which I suspect she’s also on.

terrywynne · 05/10/2023 19:23

Theres been a thread running in chat on Avon and their catalogues. A mix of cynicism over the MLM model, insistence it is not MLM (based on outdated nostalgia for the Avon lady), and a dose of we must be kind to reps and care for their catalogues because they are hard working mums trying to make a few extra quid in difficulty times.

YouOKHun · 05/10/2023 19:34

I’ll have a look at that @terrywynne. On a couple of previous Avon threads there has been a poster who obviously works at HQ who comes along to defend it in quite a patronising way and just won’t engage with questions of a trickier nature about their MLM practices and the damage done by the total saturation. I’ll have to see if that poster pops up again.

This is why drugs should not be available through online pharmacies. It is so easy to fake obesity ( through filtered photos- they ask for photo to confirm that weight loss drugs are appropriate) and get round the online questionnaire.
Side effects are unpleasant and common and there is a risk of serious reactions with all drugs.
Sorry rant over.
Most obese patients are pre diabetic so use of a diabetic drug is appropriate. But using it when not obese/overweight it unnecessarily placing yourself at risk.

YouOKHun · 05/10/2023 21:03

@terrywynne here is a gem from the Avon thread

“All the experts on here from Non avon ladies
makes me laugh. Loads of money to be had. My upline has 350 reps under her whom she recruited and she earns commission from their sales as well as her own.
Utter rubbish some of the comments”.

I hadn't seen that comment yet! The usual MLM hun bingo

spanfan · 05/10/2023 21:40

What has Castle done to her mouth/teeth? I'm sure she looks different

ticktock19 · 05/10/2023 21:43

So has Yawn really influenced noughty wines to send her those bottles or has she bought them....?

BSintolerant · 05/10/2023 22:14

Yawn has captioned one of her photos as “evil entity.” Is that what’s known as a Freudian slip? 🤣

If they have been sent her they should be shown as #gifted and she should be declaring them to HMRC......
