Hi all, if someone was awarded PIP/DLA, does the carer have to live in the same borough as them to claim carers allowance?

No but have to be providing 35 hours care.

Absolutely! Just to clarify, Carers Allowance and PIPs are paid through the Department for Work and Pensions. Direct Payments come via the local council which is why there are sometimes different rules depending on where you live.
