Would anyone know the following please.
I am currently working as a full time contractor and my contract is due to expire end of feb 2024. I am pregnant and will be going on maternity leave next month. I do qualify for smp and the company I work for will be paying it to me as a lump sum on my last pay day. I will not be returning back to this company.
Would I be allowed to work for a different company before the 39 weeks of smp is over? Or do I have to wait until I have effectively finished maternity leave?
I have tried to find answers online but cannot.
