Hello, not sure if this is the right place so apologies if not.
I'm just looking ahead to starting Christmas shopping. I read on here somewhere about sites that give you cash back on purchases. I can't find where I read this. Can anyone advise on sites and how this works please? Thank you 😊

I use TopCashBack. It sits as a widget on all my browsers and reminds me to toggle it on for cashback. It basically loves to know all your data - what you are buying, when and where (I'm super critical about datafication - but alas do use it still!) and the cashback is your reward. Its not instant, especially things like hotel bookings and insurance policies have long periods of waiting till you actually have it payable.

I remove the money the minute it can be withdrawn as cash sitting there isn't protected like cash in a savings account.

Some people change the payout for cashback rewards on Argos/Tescos etc to get a bit of extra.

Good luck!

Topcashback in my favourite. I have earned over £1300 since joining . Holidays, all my online purchases, utilities- always check here first before buying anything.

if you sign up you can use my referral code - we both get a reward 😀

Ah fab thank you! So so sorry DoodleMum12 I just signed up before checking here!!! I had no idea that there were referral codes.
That's a fab amount that you have accrued! I'm going to have a good look through at what sites are available and make a list for my Christmas shopping!

I use TopCashback and I also use a site called Honey. It works in the background of my pc and tablet and searches for discount codes. You also accrue pointes which can be exchanged for Amazon vouchers.

My referral link is here if you are interested joinhoney.com/ref/ptd84x0

No worries, top tip is don’t use private browsing and complete your transaction straight away - leaving the site or allowing standby may stop your cash back from tracking. If something doesn’t track you can raise a ticket - their customer service is really good. I usually save up my payouts and convert to vouchers like Amazon around Christmas time 😀

Happyinheels · 28/09/2023 13:36

Thanks for that @Comefromaway. I'll check it out.
I tend to do everything on my phone so I must remember to visit the cash bank site first.
@DoodleMum12 I've just bought something from the Nike site for my daughter and have a grand sum of £1.98 showing in my account, every penny counts right?! 😬 Now off to search for fjallraven trousers!

I use a few to maximize money if I'm spending it anyway.

Chase bank is amazing for 1% cashback on everything you spend mostly. Good interest too.

Jamdoughnut is my current fave app as lots of applicable retailers for me. (Over 1500)

You buy vouchers, get cashback then spend in store the vouchers. A £2 referral bonus using my code here. Use my referral code 4ZCM to get a £2 bonus when you use the app for the 1st time. Download for free: https://app.jamdoughnut.com/JoinNow

Cheddar is an app which links via open banking to your account and on relevant purchases you get automatic cashback. Not tons relevant for me but I know people who get a good cashback from it. Use my code DWAAEZP
https://get.cheddar.me/app/DWAAEZP

Then Topcashback which is ace for holiday and insurance renewals. It's a huge affiliate website and as a user you get a kickback from it. DM me for a code for £25 referral.

Hope it helps.

Cashback apps are one of the best things I've got into.

OldTinHat · 02/10/2023 13:38

I use quidco. £1400 back since using it.

OldTinHat · 02/10/2023 13:39

Here's my referral, we both get cash - app.quidco.com/raf/nLWx

Zimunya · 02/10/2023 13:47

I couldn't work out how Topcashback worked for the life of me :(

Spareus · 02/10/2023 13:50

TopCashback is great 👍

DoodleMum12 · 03/10/2023 19:38

I forgot to add another tip- topcashback often has bonus days (usually once a month) where there is a min spend (usually £5-£10) and if you activate the bonus and make a purchase through topcashback site that day you get a £2 or £2.50 bonus on top. Most times I don’t have anything I need to buy so just get a gift card for £10 for a supermarket or m&s and I get my bonus that way. My last two are shown below (I’m on a spending diet so not buying much lately 😂)

Airtime Rewards is another good app ... you link your cards and every time you spend in one of their retailers you get a % which you redeem off your phone bill.

Each month they have challenges too such as x 2 spends of a minimum (often £5) and you get a little bonus too. Also boosters too where you get additional % spending on certain shops or at certain times. Currently they have 8% on spends at Revolution Beauty.

I like this as I don't have to worry about going through a link it just happens. Also doubles up with your actual Cashback sites too.

Here's my referral code, think we both get £1 bonus

Anyone else find using all these tools and checking which is best adds a little more time to your online shopping?!

Happyinheels · 18/10/2023 10:53

How long do the payments from Topcashback take to come through? My purchases are all showing as pending, the earliest one being from September 27th.

Stormyforcast · 18/10/2023 14:47

It can take a while, sometimes 60-90 days.

Timmydimmy · 19/10/2023 20:54

There is a £2 bonus today - you just need to activate and make a purchase of min £5. I have nothing to buy so will activate and buy a supermarket gift hard through top gift cards for £10 and earn my bonus that way. It all adds up so wanted to give you all a heads up.
If you’re new to topcashback and want to sign up I shared a referral code earlier in this thread as have a few others 😀

That should have said supermarket gift card not gift hard 🤣

Timmydimmy · 09/11/2023 20:09

I'd prefer a gift hard at this point ngl 😂

Sespes · 13/08/2024 22:38
