Energy support payments taken back

Hi,
We have our electricity from Eon and, in July, they took the energy support payments back, over £450, from our account. When I contacted them they said it is because ours is not a domestic property.
I sent them a copy of our council tax bill and said to look on Google earth and they could see for themselves that it is a house!
I have since contacted them a further ten times and, if they bother to get back to me at all, they say they will look into it then I hear nothing.
What can I do?

Go to the energy ombudsman with copies of any correspondence times of calls promises from Eon & make sure Eon know you have formally complained about their handling of it.

If they think you're not a domestic property, also check the amount that you're paying, as businesses pay different (usually higher) amounts for energy.

However, if you're paying the domestic rate for your energy, that's a pretty good indicator (along with the fact that you live in a house and pay council tax) that you're a domestic property.

Show them your council tax bill, they will show if you are domestic property or not.

We are on their domestic rate and the first thing I did was to email them a copy of our latest council tax bill.
I have asked them what else I can do to prove that we live in a domestic property but I have had no answer from them.
I have put in an official complaint and the response was that they would ask the person who first responded to my query to get back to me. That was two weeks ago and I’ve heard nothing since!
I’m at my wits end with it.

I’ve now emailed them to say that if I have no response from them within the next 7 days then I will be complaining to the ombudsman.
Once this is resolved I will be swapping my supplier and making sure that everyone I know knows how poor Eons so called customer support is.
