Hiya.... have finally got the letter I was asking you about. It is from the litigation manager of the company who has been phoning us regarding the old phone bill for their client, BT.
It starts....'Further to all previous communication from Financial Services Ltd, we hereby inform you that we have today prepared papers necessary for the issue of a county court summons for the recovery of the outstanding amount as shown above.
We will hold the papers for 3 days - in the eventt of non-payment the papers will be forwarded to our client with a recommendation for immediate county court action without further reference to you.
On issue of Summons, court fees and solicitors costs will be added together with interest at a rate of 8%

Dp has just phoned the number on this letter and asked if a default notice has been served and they said no, this is the only letter they have sent.

Hiya things are ok today - so far!! I have run into a slight problem though regarding the debit card I used at the time - that account has been closed for a while and according to the bank they wouldn't be able to access the transaction. If it's not one thing it's another!!!

oops didnt mnean to send that then! Thanks for the extra info - it amazes me what these credit companies/collection agencies will try to and can get away with if you don't know where you legally stand!
