YNAB sync query

I've read lots of good reviews about YNAB so giving it a go. Can anyone advise if it's possible to force it to sync with your bank act rather than wait for it to do it automatically
I can't find a clear answer online.

I think only by downloading a statement and syncing with that. It's annoying and I've never done it. The auto import is usually up to date, I think it checks 3x per day or something.

They've changed auto import this week. Give the 34 day trial a go?

I've signed up to the trial I currently track my spending most days so was hoping this might do the same
I'm finding it a bit confusing atm. I'm going to spend some more time looking at it tomorrow

@BertieBotts ah okay 3 times a day is quite a lot i hadnt realised it was that often

I think my problem is that I currently deduct pending transactions from my budget so I can see how much we have left but I'm guessing YNAB doesn't deduct these until they physically leave your account?
