I’m currently in the chain from hell. In brief it’s a chain of 9, I’m 3rd from top. it’s been rocking and rolling since feb. We’re now on our 4th completion date, all of the delays have been caused by the sh*t solicitor and agent at the bottom.
We’ve been trying to exchange since the beginning of august and then finally last week it looked like we were actually going to but we didn’t make it, solicitor went MIA. Tried again yesterday, got radio silence from agent and solicitor. Finally made contact today and now it transpires we can’t because the FTB at the bottom hasn’t closed their H2B ISA. I didn’t find this out until end of the working day so I can’t talk to anyone until tomorrow. I’ve looked on line and it looks like it’s a bit of a process. So if anyone has any insight into how long from closing the ISA to exchanging to completion it would be much appreciated. We are meant to complete in 2 weeks! TIA
