How long to close UC claim?

I have requested that my claim be closed on my journal a few days ago, but had no response. How long does it take to close a claim? Reason being my partners moving in, we definitely won’t be entitled to any UC and I want to use tax free childcare.

My assessment period is 16th August - 17th September but I have asked for my claim to be closed ASAP. No reply on the journal yet.

@Popsicales hi, what did you select to close you claim in your journal please?. I am in the same situation. When I went on my journal it stated if you have a partner you need to keep your claim open and claim jointly, but I've worked out we wouldn't be entitled to anything so seems a bit pointless keeping the claim open. Thanks
