End of fixed rate

My fixed rate ends soon. I am struggling to decide between a two year fixed rate of a 5 year fixed rate. Any opinions?

My lender only offer 2 or 5 years. Totally unsure what to do!

We’ve just bought a house with 5 year mortgage, luckily has a rate locked in from march. We wanted the reliability for that period as hoping to have first baby in that time

If you are at the end of any fixed term you are free to change lender?

Sorry that was a reply to @Krawnprackers

Thanks @BasinHaircut but we really don’t want to have to go through the whole process all over again.

@Krawnprackers i get it! We have been with our lender for 13 years because we couldn’t be arsed to apply for a new mortgage. Luckily they have always had very competitive rates and earlier this year when we had to choose a new fix they were the best we could get anyway.

But we did agree that because the rate has gone up so much, we would consider moving lender for a better rate.
