What’s your credit score?

It’s just curious it’s really. Mine has significantly come down and is now 635. That seems pretty crap out of 1000. Own house outright and no debts though we do spank the credit card and it ended up closer to the limit last month than was comfortable

Credit Karma 666/710 and not much I can do to improve that, looking at my score.

Mine is 641/710 which is excellent. Transunion. Definitely keeping credit cards to under 25% helps. If I go over it drops down 15 points into good.

It is silly as means you need a stupidly high credit limit for every day spending. Mines is 4k. I applied for a Tesco one for the points and they gave me a 5k limit at 10.9% which I suppose is the benefit of excellent credit rating. I always pay off in full.

Annoys me too. I've got a Lloyds 0% card and am obviously taking full advantage but taking the hit on my credit score 🤷‍♀️.

whirlyhead · 20/08/2023 21:18

Mine keeps telling me it would be better if I actually used my credit card and increased the limit in it. Which sounds counter intuitive to me. But I don’t want to use it more and don’t want any more credit so my credit score really doesn’t matter.

Mines 911. It has come down by 50 points recently. Not sure why, probably because I bought a laptop on 6 month 0% credit, so hopefully you up again once that has finished.

Shadowboy · 20/08/2023 21:41

999 out of 999 on Experian.

Brahumbug · 20/08/2023 22:19

I wouldn't get to worked up about credit score. They are a completely meaningless figure, made up by the reference companies.

Loafbeginsat60 · 20/08/2023 23:03

989 /999 apparently because I am not on the electoral roll despite having filled in the forms online three bloody times!

elsbelsx · 20/08/2023 23:05

951/1000 on ClearScore

Loafbeginsat60 · 20/08/2023 23:06

2/3 years ago mine would have been 300 so it can be sorted out!

Now my credit card company keep increasing my limit which I don't need. When I needed money, I couldn't get it. Annoying but that's the way it should be I suppose or your debt would keep spiralling.

CissOff · 20/08/2023 23:12

999 on Experian
520 on Clear Score but no idea why - it’s never been any higher so not sure what makes up the score 🤷🏼‍♀️

caringcarer · 20/08/2023 23:21

656/710 on Credit Karma
999/999 on Experian

My credit rating gets higher when I have something on my credit card and lower when I pay it off. Apparently if you are using up to 25 percent you get s ored higher than when you don't use it. Seems bonkers to me but I don't really care. DH's is always a few points higher than mine despite me having a lot more in the bank than he does.

pinksheetss · 20/08/2023 23:24

535 on Experian so very poor

jmh740 · 20/08/2023 23:57

340 on credit score, a few years ago it was 800+ but covid and oh been unable to work due to ill health has hit us really hard, it makes me feel ill

roughride · 21/08/2023 00:07

895 on Experian - not bad considering I went bankrupt 11 years ago, and benefits make up a high proportion of my income. I don't really need credit, so only check out of curiosity.

WasThereAnotherTroyforHertoBurn · 21/08/2023 00:10

999

Beehappyx · 21/08/2023 00:15

424 on Experian
0 on clear score

I did take out a DRO 14 months ago as I was drowning in debt.
