Is it for £4.95?

Just wondering as I get Zettle for Slimming World payments 😂

Ohmylovejune · 17/08/2023 09:40

I think Zettle is one of those little small business tappy machines, like Sumup? Did it have anything else written after the word Zettle?

veryberrypericherry · 17/08/2023 09:40

Just to add I think it's a portable card machine so if you've been anywhere that uses one...?

Clefable · 17/08/2023 09:41

Yes I think it's those little handheld readers that small traders use.

IkeaHelp · 17/08/2023 09:41

It's a handheld contactless payment machine.

Buskers and small businesses usually have them

IkeaHelp · 17/08/2023 09:42

I had one come through late one night and was si confused them remembered I'd beeped a Buskers machine earlier in the day.

BoohooWoohoo · 17/08/2023 09:43

My local independent coffee shop uses Zettle machines. It's a card reader popular with small businesses.

ditalini · 17/08/2023 09:44

Yes it's a small business's hand held card machine. Often a bit of a delay in the transaction showing up.

Did you buy anything in the last 24hrs from a small business? A coffee or sandwich?

Justme68 · 18/08/2023 20:10

No nothing they money was tried to be took out at 11:30 pm, definitely wasn't me I was asleep so bank canceled my card.

Yes but that doesn't mean that the the card was scanned at 11:30. Some places seem to do a batch run later on.

Anyway, you'd know if you'd bought something for the amount that was taken, so presumably not.

I've just checked in my bank account and all my Zettle transactions have the name of the company after the Zettle bit.

Foxcroft · 31/05/2025 00:45

zettle is apple merchant system its a type of credit card machine.

i-zettle

so you can take card payments anyone can get one for £29 if they are starting there own business and want to take payments

so you paid for something by card and the shop was using an i-zettle card machine

diddlydooda · 31/05/2025 17:30

It's likely something you paid for earlier in the day, was it a large amount?

OnTheBoardwalk · 31/05/2025 17:39

I paid for some drinks at a football stadium and they appeared on my statement as zettle - by PayPal. No indication of where I spent the money. On the transaction itself it’s got a link to their website https://www.zettle.com/gb

are you sure it's not a payment that you've just forgotten about?

My hairdresser uses Zettle as she works from home. Also a local cafe. Was it a small charge? Perhaps had you bought a coffee earlier in the day?

rainbowunicorn · 31/05/2025 18:22

OP asked this question nearly 2 years ago. I would imagine she has figured it out by now.
