I'm not feeling like I want to do a night shift tonight but sadly the good folk of the region where I work need protecting in their beds so I'll be there tonight. Perhaps I should tell myself that I choose not to go in and see how that goes down with the bosses......

Nurse has been asked if she is still doing psychotherapy and she says she isn’t and is concentrating on her coaching AND has shelled out for an NLP course. She doesn’t want to have too many plates spinning apparently … no danger of that.

A friend of mine is now selling BSAH. She’s recently been through a really traumatic experience and I’m worried about her. She is vulnerable and will struggle to find standard paid employment so she’s a perfect target.

Might have known NLP would make an appearance! I misunderstood her as saying she was taking an NLP course separately. She’s spent enough money on courses already!

In other news Wig has been permanently banned from Facebook forever. She will be disappointed as it’s the best social media platform to find their sort of victims. Anyway, she’s being treated like some kind of martyr to their crackpot cause.

@BangingOn oh dear. I’ve been hearing a bit more of BSAH in the last week. It feels like it’s been laying low for a bit and letting some of the Covid recruited victims die off before a Christmas recruitment drive. It probably hasn’t been lying low, I just haven’t seen much of it. Same old scam, different crop of victims.

I guess all you can do is encourage her to keep a close eye on what she is spending to “make money” and be there to pick up the pieces later. I really hate seeing vulnerable people tricked into something that’s almost certainly going to add to their difficulties financially and emotionally. ☹️

Been away on holiday this last week or so, and got spotted by a Bot! I was chatting to my friend while I was in Boots saying I needed to get some lip balm, and a FLP Bot pounced. Out came a balm and a business card, she gave it to me gave it to me and said I'd love to hear your feedback on this product.

I stood there stunned, listened to a few seconds of waffle before my DC came charging over demanding an ice cream.

Stupidly I binned the card so I can't stalk them, but I kept the lip balm which is actually quite nice

@TribeD was it a bot that we've ever mentioned on these threads or, more likely, a lowly bot from the team of one we've mentioned?

My guess is its some poor sucker who has been advised by their upline to spend money they can't afford on lip balms to try and lure in the next level of suckers.

No, no one I recognised from the bots i follow or their underlings.

I have a feeling it may be a ploy... hang around the lip balm area of Boots, and give out a free balm, if DD hadn't demanded ice cream I'd have loved to have had a conversation with them!

I expect it was one of the excellent pieces of advice in one of the ‘trainings’ they attended

Eg when they get together online and share great ideas in their teams….
And of course a great idea for the upline as the downlines rush off to buy loads of lip balms to keep in their handbags to give away to randomers

It's definitely a sneaky underhand tactic promoted by uplines.

Virgin Vie used to do something similar with sachets and mini guardian angel balms. We were "encouraged" to create little pioneering packs stuffed with joining up bumpff, freebies, (which we paid for so not free 🙄) catalogues etc.

We were told to wear t-shirts and badges ("I love my job! Ask me why!") and hand them out.

Honestly it was the most awful nine months of my life, I made manager rank only because my upline wanted to be an area sales manager, and any new recruits were shoved under anyone still selling after 3 months just so she'd qualify for ASM and get a bloody convertible Beetle!

I detect quite a lot of busy busy activity from the FL bots - Yawn’s ‘join me! Two spaces left! I have a great life! No, really I do, I can walk the dogs when I want!! Time freedom’’ posts are quite repetitive and becoming boring as she has nothing to show off about any more

the others, like ex BFF, are back on the ‘I’m so bloated’ treadmill ‘join me in my detox journey’ but look unconvincing

the Forever Living downward spiral continues despite the visit from the big cheese who did a motivational talk ‘growth mindset!!’ for a small number of FBOs in a manky tent and the rather desperate efforts by the Greek to sound positive and upbeat

The Three Profiteers appeared at White Elephant House not so much to deliver a motivational talk but to deliver a final warning dressed up as motivation. I think that the real purpose of the trip to the UK was not to meet the bots as they don’t really give a shit about them, but was actually for crisis talks about what to do with the ailing UK business. The Great Leader and the European leader don’t come to the UK on an August week day for motivational purposes, they gather for crisis purposes.

I don’t imagine any of them felt optimistic about FLP UK’s chances after spending time in the tent with a half hearted gathering of their “best” people.

I'm hopping on this thread to ask if there is anything I could or should do about someone who seems completely under the Scentsy spell?

They seem to have spent hundreds on products for their own household. They've a HUGE amount of the cuddly toys of all sizes. Says their mil is their best customer (poor mil). Constantly posts about it. How they (Scentsy) are a family. How it's so much more blah blah. Very sucked in. Went to some big UK conference. Desperately trying to sell enough items to "win" some Scentsy camping chairs.

They don't seem to be in a good place financially and it's so frustrating to see how she is buying all these items (probably to make sales quotas) and it's becoming harder and harder to watch.

Is there anything I could share on my own social media, anything I could say etc. This isn't someone I see in person often at all but she's a nice lady and I feel sad for her.

Hello @Hickry - your friend is in Scentsy’s thrall, so if you’re not careful, she’ll accuse you of negativity and you’ll end up being blocked on social media and blanked in real life. Subtlety and gentle, interested questions are the way to go. Be as subtle as you can, but don’t be surprised if she’s still hostage to MLM years down the line before she skinks off and relaunches herself as a lifestyle coach.

Regarding the ailing business within FL you can see subtle signs of bots tightening their belts .... 2jags has started doing her own eyelash extensions for example

There's a distinct lack of holidays going on, even the basic 2 weeks in a holiday apartment/villa in Spain with the family (which is what I've had this year and I'm not claiming to be a successful business owner...I just have a J.O.B. with a regular monthly income, paid holiday, paid sick leave etc)
