As massages go, that would result in a very unhappy ending. It sounds utterly fucking miserable to be fair.

Does she need permission to use her spare room for such purposes? There might be a covenant restricting its use as a disorderly house business premises. I bet she’s not insured either.

@Boudicasbeard lets hope the Body Shop warned her about public liability insurance, GDPR (as presumably she will be collecting and holding private information), the fact her mortgage provider may have an issue with running a business in her home (or her landlord), her local planning officer may have an issue if she is seeing clients in her own home and there is a licence I’m pretty sure she will need. https://www.gov.uk/find-licences/massage-and-special-treatment-premises-licensing

@BSintolerant Those are all good points! I would put them to her but I mainly just roll my eyes at her Facebook posts these days and try to stay well clear in real life. She has somehow managed to become an area leader and has (apparently) quite a big team underneath her made of unsuspecting school gate mums. I do often wonder how she hasn’t been driven out of the village with pitch forks yet!

Interestingly, she had been very quiet about Bodyshop stuff for about six months and then is suddenly having a huge recruitment drive as part of opening her extremely questionable salon.

There's a big BSAH incentive running at the moment for a trip to South Africa,they're all mad for it either trying to qualify or being pressured by an upline so they sell more for the upline to qualify. I live 5 houses away from a very high up BSAH Bot so lucky me gets to see the madness in full flow. Although she appears to have dropped a rank or two (still really high up) since the Covid boom where her posts were more strategic and now she's doing office sales herself again.

That makes sense. It would explain why she is now selling again too and really pushing the starter kits.

What does really annoy me is that she makes out like this is her full time job when really her husband runs a very successful family firm and she does his book keeping so gets paid for that- which is her main income.

And she’s been using this idea to snare people who I know for a fact can barely afford to eat. It is the worst kind of over priviledged bullshit.

Is SS bot in Yawn's team? If do then makes sense as often a team will do something like that as a joint effort.

I never heard of an event where HO paid for a stall, but desperate times etc, so maybe!!

@Sugarplum48 yes I saw that. Targeting such young adults is unforgivable. The only hope is that her parents are able to see what’s going on and can step in.

Mind you a lot of parents are not that on the ball. I know of a contemporary of my DD who when she turned 18 expressed an interest in Arbonne but her mother advised her do set up a “proper business” and proceeded to help her rent an expensive high street retail unit and fit it out as a Cambridge 1:1 consultant. I don’t think a soul ever set foot in the shop and it closed after a year. The girl is now 22 and still trying to recover from the debts she incurred and the confidence she lost.

Perhaps Mini Yawn could warn the new young victim?

I am passionate about proofreading and have recently started my own business - I’m really busy though as by the time I’ve done my affirmations, read bits of The Secret, manifested success, had my nails done, popped into town for bits and bobs and got my garden chairs out there’s literally not much time to actually work with clients. but I am literally loving every minute and have no regrets about leaving a job with a pension, holiday pay and sick pay!
Oh and I’m also busy doing an online course on proofreading too, but of course I can advertise that I’m a proofreader already.
