Funnily enough I know a bit about kidney failure, having had it myself with 3% kidney function at one point (thankfully I was extremely lucky and recovered following a stint of dialysis) however I can only begin to imagine my consultants reaction had I suggested a coffee enema might be a good idea even though I probably didn't need one and I'd read about it on the internet. It would completely f* up the water balance in your body and they only gave me a normal enema after I hadn't been for 14 days and everything else they tried failed (I wouldn't recommend it) and they were reluctant to do that!!!

Goodness @PieonaBarm, so very glad that you recovered so well. I'm sure celery has quite a high sodium content too so I'm not sure all these celery juice addicts will be doing their kidneys any favours by drinking litres of the stuff.

Yes thankfully kidneys all ok now, was a result of Covid although I suspect I will always be vulnerable to kidney problems though. Just the remaining long Covid I battle with, though I appreciate that I can work full time, am not restricted at work, and that many sufferers of LC have it much worse than me.

I'm so glad you recovered from that ok. Truly terrifying what covid can do to us. I hope the remainder of your long Covid symptoms gradually improve with time

That sounds awful @PieonaBarm - and it must make you furious when the likes of Sleaze deny the existence of Covid and encourage people not to get the vaccine

I respect anyone's decision as to whether to be vaccinated or not, ultimately it's their body, however Covid deniers really get me. I guess I was just unlucky that's how my body reacted to the virus. DH has a friend who is a denier and who ignored all the lockdowns and social distancing rules. DH has a lovely group of friends and he's now stopped mentioning it to any of them as he just immediately gets called out about it. Usually something like "oh well we'd better ask Mr Pie and Pie about how Covid isn't a thing" and it shuts him up. DH gets madder than me with him though.

I've stopped checking in on Sleaze unless we get a comical update here. I'd end up getting a FB ban worse than any he's ever had. Plus I can't bear to see his hairy chest repeatedly on show 😂

I know, why would you not do that? My DS was the same with the Tooth fairy so we said we'll leave it downstairs with a note, DS was happy with that..

I know. I totally sympathise with the wee lad but wondered why the tooth could not have been put under mum's pillow. Beside which, why on earth was she so feart to have this tooth fall out at home? She is a nurse for heaven's sake!

I feel sorry for anyone who goes through a marriage break up though I do question the timing of Uber’s post coming as it does at the beginning of a big recruitment drive by FLP. I don’t trust her use of the hashtag “mental health awareness” either, which is designed to widen her audience among potentially vulnerable people. People’s mental health has not troubled her when she’s tricking them into FLP with false promises.

So yawn is now promoting low alcohol wine so she can still part of the parteee but then contradicting herself saying she needs to be out every evening to essentially stop herself drinking. That must be exhausting. To have to physically remove yourself from your own home to avoid the want or need to drink but then posting vids drinking wine. It's all a bit odd.
