Backdating disability CoL payments?

I had a call from the DWP today. My pip claim has finally been awarded. I initially applied in February 2022 and had requested a mandatory reconsideration and then applied to the tribunal to appeal but finally they changed their mind following me sending some additional evidence. I’ve been granted higher rate care and lower rate mobility.

Had this award been made a year ago when it was initially declined I would have been eligible for 2 disability cost of living payments. I’m wondering if I can apply for these to be back dated?

Thanks for your help.

Did they say if the PIP had been backdated all the way to Feb '22? If so then you might have a case or it may have already been included. If it's just backdated to your tribunal date then it might not be but there is a one-off £150 CoL disability payment if you were eligible before 1st April 2023.
