H and I separated Feb 22
I'm in family home with 3 older teens
He's living with his parents
He's not updated address on credit card
He's not making re-payments
Do I try to inform credit card of new address?
Mortgage in joint names (paid solely by me)

Do you know if there an amount owing and if so are payments being made? If the answers are Yes then No you need to move very smartly to ensure enforcement action is directed to the correct address.

If the card is in his sole name then, even without any issues about what's owed, I'd let the card company know he's no longer at your address and that he's now at (wherever).

Are you able to get him off the mortgage or is that a work in progress?

Because if he's got a delinquent credit card account and you are financially associated due to the joint mortgage then that drags your credit rating too.

Is he at least off your council tax bill?

SadBut · 23/06/2023 22:28

Carnt afford to take him to court to agree settlement figure for mortgage 🙄
Yes off council tax
Still have joint account coz I need his permission to come off the account
I have my own account for bills and wages.

Yes I would inform credit card provider of his new address, are they sending mail to yours that you return?

SadBut · 23/06/2023 23:00

I've been sending his mail to him via DS when he goes

Start returning to sender not at this address.
