Claiming wrap around costs through UC

Having a mare.

UC want a reg number to add a childcare provider and wants proof of the reg number.

UC staff in messages have said that my school is regd with care inspectorate wales and wil have a reg number.

School is saying they are not regd with CIW and don't have a reg number.

I just want to recoup my wrap around care costs. But seems like this may not be possible.

I'm based in wales.

I have already been claiming for nursery fees for my child through the UC and now my child is going to school I want to prepare for this.

Thank you

Do they use an outside provider to run the childcare club?

jasper333 · 16/06/2023 14:56

No I think it's all part of the school.

The guidance for UC decision makers is here:

Para 7034 4 would seem to cover a situation where 'wraparound' care is provided by a school on school premises but outwith normal hours. Same if it's provided by the LA.

That's great thank you.

So it's just the whole claiming on the UC website fiasco to get round now.

I've messaged UC to ask how to claim and they just said make up the reg number but they don't see the process and on the next step is to provide proof of the provider and the reg number!!!
