Budgeting Advance and Coercive Control

In 2020 and 2021 my ex partner, financially abusive, forced me to take out budgeting advances on my UC account. I’m still stuck paying them off despite me not ever having a penny of the money. I’m trying to get my affairs in order after leaving recently and I don’t know what to do about them. I need a budgeting advance myself at the moment as my fridge is on its way out and I can’t afford it.
Any advice?

Freecycle or Facebook or olio for a free or very cheap fridge
or a camping cool box that runs on the mains for meat and milk and cheese only
talk to UC.

Check if your council or Citizens Advice has any schemes for providing furniture and white goods. Look at grants on Turn2us that is preferable to more debt.

I am sorry to hear you are struggling well done for getting out of a toxic relationship.
