I'm new to UC. I work pt 23hrs pw term time and also have the UC carer element on my claim. I need to leave my job. It's causing so much stress, I'm pushed, kicked, have things thrown at me every other day. I'm a TA. I will look for another job but this current one is affecting my mental health. My contract is with this particular pupil so I can't even swap out. It's a case of do the job or leave.
Will I get sanctioned if I do this? I don't think I have a claimant commitment. All it says in that section online is that I'll manage my account online. I can't find definitive info re whether I'd be sanctioned or put on some mega work search in this scenario. I tried asking in my journal previously about what would happen if I took a job with slightly less hours because a good one was being advertised but was 4hra pw less and they wouldn't actually say, they just said there's lots of different work search groups you can be put in, have at look the gov website.
I'm pretty sure I'm in the no requirements group due to being a carer for a disabled child but I'm getting myself all in a stress about it all. Dh does work but is currently in a newish role at about 23k pa. A friend seemed to think as long as we earned enough as a household, UC don't mind but that doesn't seem right?
Can anyone more level headed than me help?
