Clothes recycling at school

Hi Everyone,

Our school was recycling with a company called Dragonbags, but we stopped because they were not paying the price they advertised. The price is also the lowest on the market and not what they say "Top price".

Can anyone suggest another company that collects in Wales please?

I’m not sure if they collect in wales, but my Daughter’s school uses rags 2 riches.
Which reminds me, I must start clearing out!

Ours uses rags 2 riches too.
Not convinced about them either but can't be arsed to look into it

Bag2school for us

We used to use bag2school but they were really bad at paying us, sometimes it was over 6 months before we got paid.

Now our school use rags2riches4schools and they pay 50p a KG and even send our posters flyers and banners and bags free. Fair play the staff are really helpful.

Ours leave us a cheque when they collect the clothes.. that’s bad it took so long 😯

Oh dear, the dragon bag site says 'up to 40 p' per kg, that does sound dodgy. I guess that could mean 25p 😮

I think our school will give rags2riches4schools a go next year, they seem to have quite a lot of social media pictures at the schools with the price they paid on the cheque. A banner and bags are going to help get more donations I think too.

Thanks for the advice everyone. We have just organised a clothes recycling collection with rags2riches for next year. They are sending out all sorts of media for us to use.
We used to use recycling bins, but they were so small and the money was terrible, I think it was about £25-£30 even though it was nearly full. This time we are going to just get the donations in on the day, because a few years back we used to get over £200 each time with a massive pile of bags.
