Question re maternity pay

I’m due to go on maternity leave in the next few weeks. If my pay was to reduce during that time am I right in thinking this would also reduce my maternity pay for the duration of my leave?

Is it SMP or enhanced?
SMP is decided by the wages in weeks 17-25 of pregnancy. Enhanced pay may use the same weeks or a different set of weeks so you'd need to check with your employer
