How long to hear back from UC work capability questionnaire?

I sent it off on behalf of my disabled adult daughter last month and it’s the first time I’ve ever completed one, so I’ve no idea how long it takes, will they ever tell me they’ve received it or will I hear nothing until the decision and how long could that take?

There is no time scale really. It depends on demand in the area. It is the company that the DWP outsource it to who do the assessments so it depends how many they have to do in any area ( assuming your daughter will need an assessment, she may not). In my area currently , people are usually receiving a date for an assessment within about a month or two of sending the form back.

I do a few of these for clients, and the wait time seems to be 2-3 months for an assessment, and another month or so for a decision.
