No big prize for me.

Soapyspuds · 01/08/2023 07:36

Somebody won £1,000 from £7 bought in 1964.

Also in 1964

Mid way through the Vietnam War
The year Mohammed Ali won his first belts
Top of the Pops broadcast for the first time
Keanu Reeves is born
Goldfinger and Mary Poppins hit the cinemas
Martin Luther King awarded the Peace Prize

Wow!

Soapyspuds · 01/08/2023 07:51

And £1,000 from a £10 1957 holding. Somebody else can provide some facts for that one.

2023usernameNew · 01/08/2023 08:19

Nothing for us either!

my husband is a programmer and has written a programme that checks our bonds against the spreadsheet and while it’s good for my little eyes to not have to go through all those rows, I hate it how my hopes are dashed away in 2 seconds.

nettie434 · 01/08/2023 08:33

Nor me! Will have to hope for a little prize.

KohlaParasaurus · 01/08/2023 08:54

There are a handful of £10000 and lower prizes that could be us, but nothing life-changing. Will leave a little hope for tomorrow by not checking actual numbers. And also book the Travelodge.

Eaumyword · 01/08/2023 08:57

Nothing big as usual for us!

HatchetJob · 01/08/2023 09:01

None for me. Now for the midnight wait, thank goodness it’s the school holidays

It was noticed a few months ago that of you log onto your NS&I account the day before then you could see anything you had won as a pending transaction (assuming that you don’t have full holdings and have it set to reinvest.) That seemed to take all the fun out of it.

Is that still the case? As if so I've won nothing.

2023usernameNew · 01/08/2023 09:31

@PriamFarrl , oh, I missed that post, i had no idea.

LuckOfTheDrawer · 01/08/2023 09:33

I think the pending transaction thing was a one off glitch. We won a few prizes last month, but didn't have any pending transactions beforehand.

WhatCameFirstTheChickenOrTheDickhead · 01/08/2023 09:41

Agree I think it was just a glitch, I find that quickest way to look at the high value winners is to open it in excel and search my holding amount as it's not a round £1000 so there's not normally anyone else with the same.

Cowhen · 01/08/2023 10:09

No big win here. I'll hope for crumbs tomorrow.

Same. My amount is a weird number

Never seen anyone with it before

So I look for my Country then amount

InTheCludgie · 01/08/2023 11:42

After trawling the big winners list I was thinking it might be handy to have a random amount in our accounts to make searching easier. I might take £1 out each account so it's more obvious...

Ohmylovejune · 01/08/2023 14:51

I know it's lovely to find out as soon as possible but honestly swiping the app at 00.05 and seeing a big win is pretty special too.

I've tried looking for mine in the past but my numbers are so random it's really hard. It might be easier if I data sorted on the area, and just got those wins in a list to check. It's sobering to see how few wins there are when I just look at my one county.

Minervia · 01/08/2023 16:58

I found the love money list earlier where u can type in your county and it tells you the winners. There are hardly any from our county and they are mostly big boys so I'm out...again...hoping for a nice small surprise tomorrow..next month I'm not peeking

lemonyellows · 01/08/2023 20:15

Minervia · 01/08/2023 17:00

Yeah this is good. Better if I actually won a big prize but still 😂

Don't give up hope cowhen. Maybe tomorrow is the day you get 10 x £200 wins instead of one £2k prize!
