Which companies have good deals for broadband and landline?

At the moment I'm with TalkTalk and they have just hiked my fees so I'm interested in switching. For reasons I won't bore you with, I need a landline as well as broadband.

I don't want to be with BT as had very bad experience of them in the past.

Grateful for any suggestions!

Are you on any type of means tested benefit? If so there is a little known social tariff for broadband which is cheaper than the usual market price. A number of providers offer this.

I pay 26 a month for landline and fibre with Plusnet. It seemed the best deal when i signed up as there weren't many that offered landlines.

Thank you for the replies.

@GOW56 That sounds good! I’ll look into that.

@seekingasimplelife I am! Is there a list of providers that offer this?

I am with Now TV and it is working out OK. They didn't hike my costs when I came off contract so that was good, and its been pretty reliable.

Use the MSE broadband unbundled tool!

I always trust everything linked to Martin Lewis

I've just ordered virgin broadband to be fitted. We are currently with talk talk and the price like you say has gone up and the internet service has been shocking lately.
I have got broadband and landline for £34 per month. They are installing something extra as their phone is over the Wi-Fi, and this means the landline can still be used if no internet or power.

We are with Vodafone. It’s just less than £23 for broadband and a landline phone.

I would check MSE too.

I’m with Vodafone too and they’ve been really reliable and good value. Always look to get cash back or a free gift card when you purchase though, so don’t necessarily go direct but check comparison sites for a sweetener!
