I'm probably going to have to switch to UC soon and just wondering if anyone can answer a question I have.

I currently work 7 hours a week. My youngest dc is 6. Will I be expected to look for another job on top of my current one? There are no more hours available at my current place of work.

Yes, with a 6 year old, you will be expected to work 25 hours pw. However, UC is as much about the money as the hours, so if you're working less than 25 hours, but your gross earnings are more than 25 x NMW, they may leave you alone.

My DIL has a 7YO, and works 28 hours pw as a TA. But because it's term-time only, her earnings over a full year are below the 25 x NMW threshold, they've told her she has to increase her hours or get a second job.

Are you able to work more hours?

I do not earn more than 25x nmw. I was told at my current job that it is not advisable to have a second job, but they also have no more hours for me.
This is so stressful!
