when you're going out with the kids, always have snacks so you don't have to buy any, for you too even if it's just a drink and fruit to keep you going!

switch credit cards to 0% interest and keep doing it

toy libraries and reg libraries
make birthday cards for little friends don't buy them

make your own playdough

plan your weekly meals and only buy what's on your list!
get frut/veg from a stall and not supermarkets
use coupons - most places accept them even if you don't buy the products

will think of more
good luck

When you go to the cinema with kids take your own popcorn (in individual food bags) and buy boxed drinks from the supermarket.

Bulk buy (if you have storage space) at places like Costco, Makro, but go with cash so that you don't get tempted with lots of little bargains. We bulk buy toilet paper, tissues (esp. in winter), washing up liquid, washing powder and nappies.

Also, check out the local £1 shop. Nappies sacks 300 for £1.
