Are nurseries bound by the Sex Discrimination Act?

I'm not talking in relation to the recruitment of staff because of course they are.

My query relates to the allocation of nursery places to children? Can a nursery have a male / female quota of children or is that discriminatory?

Dont see how they can. You are expected to have a gender equalitiy policy in place that applies to staff and children.

That would be wholly descriminatory!
