Im trying to find out the average price. How much was yours and when?

Makes a difference whether oil or gas. Also any change needed for pipe work and if a magnetic filter is fitted. External boilers tend to be slightly more expensive.

Ducksinarow1987 · 27/04/2023 17:16

It's gas.

Ooo good question, I need a new boiler. I have no idea where to get best value or what I'm looking for.

FangedFrisbee · 27/04/2023 17:21

£80 a month because we spent our savings on private surgery for me so when the boiler died we had to use boxt and pay monthly. It's been amazing!

VisionsOfSplendour · 27/04/2023 17:24

Im not sure how an average price will be of any help, surely it's individual to each house. A few random answers won't tell you how much your specific boiler will cost as there are far too many variables

Normal 3 bed mid terrace house in the NW, Worcester combi boiler supply and fit approx £2k, two years ago

BaronessEllarawrosaurus · 27/04/2023 17:32

Gas, £2,700 was done in January 23. It has a magnetic filter

Pac35 · 27/04/2023 17:33

£2898

Spanielsarepainless · 27/04/2023 17:33

£2000, fully fitted, last month. Five bedroom house.

BaronessEllarawrosaurus · 27/04/2023 17:33

For extra info, 4 bed house, could have got cheaper but it was minus a lot out and a complete breakdown so had to go with the fastest.

OP , I've had a plumber round this morning. I'm looking at £2500 for a decent combi that will be put in the same place that the current one is (on an outside wall with a flu in the wall - apparently this make a difference, to replace roof flu more expensive) that includes 12 year warranty all fitting and VAT.
I'm in a 2 bed semi with one bathroom and 11 radiators (the ground floor has a big kitchen diner extension room).

I've done some googling and it looks a fair price.

We had a Vaillant combi fitted a year ago for just over £2400, including a magnetic filter.
That was with British Gas, who had a good deal on at the time which effectively made it even cheaper - full service plan free for first year, boiler service free for next 4 years.
We had been paying £32pm for the whole thing, so the first year saved us £370, and now it’s only £14pm, so we’ll save another £200+ a year.
Worth looking to see if they’ve any similar offers this year!

Oh, and interest-free credit for 2/3/4 years.

£2400 for a Worcester Bosch a year ago, included fitting and a magnetic filter from British Gas.

mummymummymummummum · 28/04/2023 12:58

£2800 less than a month ago, chose a local guy that we’d used lots of times before rather than an unknown that was marginally cheaper. 3 bed house, with obstruction under the flue (ie the porch) which hiked British Gas etc quotes a bit.

Needed pump fitting with additional pipe work through the loft. Included a new wireless thermostat, magnetic filter and radiator thermostats.

Wish we’d done it sooner! It’s made a big difference.

Greydogs123 · 28/04/2023 13:04

We had a combi Worcester Bosch boiler fitted 1 year ago. Cost was just over £2000 for boiler and fitting.

LakieLady · 28/04/2023 14:25

Gas combi for a 2-bed semi, £1,300 inc fitting, two years ago. It was fitted exactly where the old one was, so didn't need any holes knocking for the flue, pipework or anything.

It's made by Alpha, has the highest energy rating (AAA?) and has a 13-year guarantee, as long as you have an annual service. My plumber charged £90+vat for the service.

Aubree17 · 29/04/2023 07:01

2700 for a 30kw fitted by a local plumber.

Including hive.

It's great.
