Child maintenance- ex gaining step children

My exH is moving in with a woman who has a 15yo son. She also has a 20yo daughter who is going to be staying with them, along with her boyfriend and their baby.

He wants to reduced child maintenance as there will be 2 children in the household. I accept he should account for the 15yo, although the new girlfriend works and he has told me she will be paying him rent and presumably bills etc. But I don’t see how he can count the baby- surely the baby’s parents are responsible?

What does the CMS calculator say about grandchildren?
I'm pretty sure he's not supposed to be supporting them too 🫤

The question is just ‘how many other children live with the paying parent?’ annoyingly so he thinks he can get away with it.

I also don’t believe for a minute he will be paying anything towards the 15yo- he’s just looking for an excuse to pay me less.

I saw a leaflet online from CMS on how they calculate maintenance. Sorry, can't link it.

It said they can consider maintenance being reduced if the payer or their partner receives child benefit for the children in their home. I think this would certainly prevent him from including her grandchild.

It would only b the 15 year old not the grandchild.
