Car insurance renewal lost no claim bonus but not made a claim but did hit a car!!!

I thought you only lost the no claims if you claimed on the insurance. It is up for renewal realyl soon and i have gone from 3 almost 4 yrs ro 1 yr now

How did they know you hit a car?

And did the car you hit, take your reg number? Because they could have claimed on your insurance without you knowing.

yes they just have but had no information from car company.

I've heard of this happening before, where someone makes a claim on your insurance and if the insurance company are confident their claim is valid, they just go ahead and pay without telling you.

I would just phone the insurance people and ask why your no claims is gone.
