Diesel claim

I'm getting lots of ads for diesel cars bought between 2009-2020 -
Claims that certain car owners are owed money. What's the truth to any of this?

There is, my DH recently got a pay out to do with being mis sold out vw polo by telling him the emissions were lower than they are, or something like that. There was a big court case over it that was relatively recently resolved and there is a pot of money for people who own/owned cars affected.

I googled diesel emission claim. Sure there will be a few companies that offer a similar service.
