How much for a joint will?

Fiddledeedeeee · 18/04/2023 16:37

My partner and I have been quoted £300 for a joint will and I wondered whether that sounds about right at the moment or whether we should shop around?

Other info; we’re unmarried with two small children in a jointly owned (mortgaged) home.

TIA

That sounds right to me. It's very similar to the quote I got from Marlow Wills. As you're unmarried I think it's worth spending some money to get a high quality will made that covers your bases.

I was quoted about £700 for the same circumstances. We don't have anything complicated to deal with (no inheritences/step kids etc) all savings/pensions/life insurance will go to each other so we used Which Wills instead and drafted them ourselves. But if I'd had quotes for £300 I'd have taken that.

I think that sounds very reasonable
