I have a cms case open but my ex doesn’t have to pay anything as he is on benefits and in priority debt (this is the reason they have given me for years, he has never had to pay anything as he is always in debt and must be paying back £1 a week or something 🙄) there are arrears but they never amount to much due to it being benefits money (I was looking at someone’s else’s cms case and in the time his debt has got to £200 theirs was £6444, I know you shouldn’t compare but it’s just laughable how low it is) he is long term unemployed and unlikely to ever get a job he is on sickness benefits. I think he probably finds it’s funny how little the amount is and how he doesn’t even need to pay it so I wanted to close the case to not give him the satisfaction of sitting there laughing at me and thinking I need his £7. Has anyone closed the case and felt better for it? Whilst he is on benefits he will never have to pay the arrears so keeping it open for the arrears is pointless.
