Df died last year - applies dir probate 6 weeks ago and waiting for it to be granted. Not expecting any problems with it.

DM died in February - probate has been granted.

mum had approx 80k plus house worth 200k which is for sale.

Can anyone recommend a good bank to open an Executor’s account. Me and DB are executors. Can this be done online?

Im not old enough or ready to do all this 💔 (obviously i am old enough!)

I'm so sorry for your losses. When my parents died it turned out to be near impossible to open an executors account, so I just opened an account with my bank that I could have the various things paid into and then just transferred money to my brother as and when - keeping a spreadsheet of what came in, estate spending, and disbursement. When the house sold, the solicitors paid us separately so that money didn't come through this account

I did the same as Dibbler, I opened a separate account online with my existing bank and named it Mum's estate and all incomings and outgoings went through that account. My brother and I were joint executors, but I dealt with the probate myself and kept him updated and sent copies of important docs and also kept a list of what everything was for, so that there was full transparency.

I'm so sorry that you've lost both your parents so close together, that's hard Flowers.
