Tax refund

I hope someone can help

I know i'm due a tax refund. Does anyone know how long after the start of the new tax year they will get intouch? Or how long will it take to show on my goverment gateway account?

It generally takes 5/6 months for HMRC to catch up, but you can reclaim the tax ahead of their calculations (presumably from 22/23 tax year) by filling in a HMRC form.

I can’t remember the number of the form but should be easy to find on Mr Google.

I found the form on google and filled it in. It said they would get back to me within 15 days but I won't hold my breath!

Hopefully I don't need to wait months on end I could do with the money back now
