Yesterday I tried to pay for an online furniture order for £900. The transaction failed. I tried again, it failed. I rang the shop and they sent me a secure link to pay on, it failed.
I rang the bank and they said it’s a Mastercard problem, and they are currently working to resolve the problem - could I pay on another card? They also said the 3 x 900 are “pending transactions” so my available balance is 2,700 less than it should be with no way of paying for goods. They say the pending transactions will be credited back when Mastercard problem is solved - 24 hours later, 3 phone calls and two online chats and the transactions are still pending even though they all appeared as transaction failed on suppliers website.
Partner said in Tesco two separate people in queue had Mastercard transactions fail. I can’t see anything online
Anyone one else experienced this? My available bank balance now won’t cover direct debits on Monday but bank say it will be resolved ‘shortly’.
