Third Party Mandate- will it affect my credit rating?

I am supporting an ( adult) family member who is struggling due to MH issues, and finds managing their own money difficult.
I have spoken to the bank and they suggested I get a third party mandate to enable me to help my family member keep on track financially.
I am concerned that it may affect my own credit rating ( which at the moment is excellent)
My family member has had a few tricky months, have a large number of direct debits etc refused because they were up to their overdraft limit.. They have no defaults on loans.
I want to help, but not if this will negatively impact my ownn credit rating-
Any advice?
