Pip strange text, no assessment?

I have been helping my 16 year old dd apply for pip. She has a very rare genetic condition which affects her joints and causes other problems.

I sent the forms back late January and have been waiting to be told a date for her assessment, but yesterday I got this text from them.

We've received the written report of your PIP assessment. We will write to you once we've made a decision on your PIP. As a guide you should hear from us within 8 weeks. You don't need to contact us unless any of the details you gave us have changed. Thank you.

Does that mean she isn’t getting an assessment? Is that a good or bad sign?

Looks like they have acknowledged they have received the forms and to sit tight until you have heard from them.

My partner got this, scored 0 for everything.

Does it not just mean that either you'll hear from them that she isn't eligible or she'll get an assessment and it'll take 8 weeks to make the decision?

Doesn't it just mean they've got the report, they're making their decision and it might take 8 weeks?

That sounds like they've done a paper assessment.

It was a paper assessment. I had a phone call on my lunch break yesterday and they have awarded her the higher rate. Such a relief.

I have heard such horror stories about applying but everyone I have dealt with has been super helpful and understanding.
