i have a 1000 note worth around £25 can i change it anywhere or will commission make it non worth while?

If you aren't going back to Thailand, and dont know anyone going there on holiday soon, I'd take it to the bank.
You probably won't get more than £20, but if it's a choice between that and keeping a bit of paper that is worthless to you, it's worth doing, imo
