Carers allowance

Hi, I started work in November last year and was over paid carers allowance for around 5 weeks which was taken off my universal credits

I've now had a letter from carers allowance asking for the over payment back as well

I'm I going to have to pay it back to CA as well as having lost Uc because of it does anyone know ?

Yes. CA always tell me that they need to know the moment it happens so there won't be any wiggle room. They also told me how much they will fine me, but maybe that's just to put fear into you yo keep them updated. From that I doubt they will let you keep the CA payments

I've had a message from my UC credits today to say they'll be back paying the money they took off for the over payment of carers allowance so that covers what I owe them
