Accidentally oversubscribed JISA

I mistakenly added £100 more onto a payment to my child’s S&S ISA, meaning they’ll be over the annual limit between their cash and S&S ISA. I’ve contacted the ISA provider but while I’m waiting, does anyone know if they’ll send me the whole payment back, send me the £100 back, put the £100 in a GIA or shop me HMRC?!

I’ve not done the exact same thing but once accidentally opened two in the same year - they just transferred the payment to the second one back to me and then closed it.
