I live overseas, am over 65, on my own, born in the UK and want to get help with:
Firstly, better managing some savings in UK (personal pension that needs to be withdrawn and invested + maximising managing savings).
Secondly to get some estimates for what my combined pension income would be if I moved back (part pension from where I reside plus UK enhanced state pension - I already draw both).
Third to obtain estimates re weekly living costs in UK to see what disposable income I would have.
Fourth help perhaps with buying a small place somewhere. (This probably warrants a separate thread as I need to identify areas I want to /can afford to live)
Where do I find people/information sources who can assist me with all this?
I have spoken to someone at a English pensions advisory service, but need professional advice re interpreting the information received for my circumstances, to identify the best way to withdraw the pension funds. The total sum is around $200k. Where can I obtain recommendations for suitably qualified financial advisors and are they called that these days?
