Social Loan?

Does anyone know if the DSS would be willing to give me a social loan for a £350 deposit for a house?

I've never had a loan before...

i think its more like your district council that do that, or whoever by you deals with housing benefit.

The SL is for more immediate costs like food and stuff, iyswim?
