Right 2 Refund

Has anyone heard of or used this company or similar? A few people I know have signed up with them, had a healthy cheque back and have had their tax code changed, someone to the point of not paying any tax.

The company takes 33% and seems to be able to claim for more than you would if you did it yourself.

The idea of a rebate going back 4 years is appealing but I also don't want to end up with a big tax bill in the future.

There isn't tons of info on line so thought I would ask on here.

TIA

Avoid these like the plague. They can’t get you more than you’re entitled to, the fact they’re saying or hinting at that is dodgy as hell, and you still have to send them the same details as you send to HMRC. Even if you left it, you’d get your refund eventually. They’re taking people for a ride - 33 per cent?

Yeah, something doesn't add up and there is no info online!
I'll wait and see what happens to those who have signed up.

Straightforward enough to do yourself. The company are making money off others' laziness.

What makes you think you’re entitled to a tax rebate OP? E.g has there been any change to your work situation?

This is as close as HMRC can warn people of these parasites. Though they were going in my day there, early 2000’s. They were hated then. Instead of waiting to see what other people get, why not just apply yourself. They won’t get you any more than you’ll get yourself, you’ll get what (if anything) you’re owed, but with far less faff. We used to feel sorry for people that had been stupid enough to use these companies, as they lost out on a fair bit of money.

If you still ‘wait to see’ after it being explained to you then you must be one of the people we used to pity.

It’s 33% plus VAT. That’s almost 40%! I’d steer clear of them. If you’re entitled to a rebate and you’re on PAYE any claim will be very easy to make by contacting HMRC directly. If you’re self-employed you should have an account anyway.

I didn't do it. I always thought it sounded to good to be true. A few people did and I'm sure they're going to get a big bill at some point in the future.
