Teenager Quitting College And Benefits

16 year old is quitting college. I therefore presume Child Benefit will cease as no longer in full time education. Child Tax Credit I presume will cease as no longer eligible for CB. Working Tax Credit will cease I presume as I no longer have a dependant. I work part time in 2 separate jobs and am in receipt of PIP. I am not sure I am physically able of getting a 3rd job. Teenager has a weekend job on a zero hour contract and is planning on getting more hours as and when - usually very busy through the summer months. They have done rather well over Christmas and worked 5 days last week and doing 3 this week. I have never declared this but now worrying if I should have?? Would my housing benefit be affected? Any ideas how I am to live? I am aware they cannot claim anything. I could possibly swing it out a bit as nobody has actually told college yet but I don't think this will help long term. Thanks

Can you charge your teen rent or will they be moving out?

is it a knee jerk decision or something they’ve been contemplating for a while? Can you convince them to look at an apprenticeship?
