They ended my appointment because I dont have ID after leaving domestic abuse. Ive spoken to citizens advice about it who gave me a number to phone and I've put in a complaint which I will get the response of in 15 working days and I've asked for a mandatory reconsideration.
If they mishandle me again I can phone citizens advice back tomorrow and ask them to escalate it.
Ive had two crisis grants of £100 since friday but am still responsible for paying for my phone and bills like electric and gas.
This has put me in financial hardship and causing me a lot of distress.
I have very few clothes, no winter coat and winter shoes etc and I've contacted the clothes bank who havent responded to me.
I'm worried sick

They can't progress a Uc claim if you don't have ID. Can you speak to a DV organisation like women's aid for advice? They must have advised people before on what to do in situations like this.

Also if you have already made the UC claim then it won't be closed it just can't progress. You will not receive your first Uc payment for around 5 weeks anyway. I do understand that you can't get an advance payment until the ID is sorted. I would not worry too much about bills unless they are priority bills. Hopefully the dwp will get back to you soon.

I commented on your last thread as I used to work in a JC . There are special processes in place for customers in your situation. Did you ask about a biographical ID check as advised ?

Speak to your caseworker at womens aid, the hostel or call the police non emergency line, they can help you get your paperwork, clothes and personal possessions safely back
