Hi if I put my kids on packed lunches because the school kept ignoring dietary requirements does the school still get funding for them if we are entitled to fsm?

They should do you mean pupil premium? I'd just carry on applying for free school meals and sending in packed lunches. I think some places give you cash equivalent/ vouchers instead in the holidays.

It's a bit rubbish they are ignoring dietary requirements. I'd push for them to get that right.

Yes they do

xyzandabc · 18/12/2022 12:59

Yes they will still get the funding whether your child uses the fsm allowance or not.

FunctionalSkills · 18/12/2022 12:59

Yes they do. You don't need to order food you won't eat .

Ok thanks all we usually get the fsm vouchers during the holidays and haven’t this time so I assumed it’s because I moved them onto packed lunches 🤔

I don’t think all councils are still providing vouchers. Initially funding was from (covid) holiday support fund which has been withdrawn. Some councils still are though. It might be worth a Google to see what support they are offering. I managed to get a grant to help buy a tank of oil in November.

Yes they are according to the website but no number to contact, says to contact the school but kids are off now
