I started handing in sick notes into universal credit may 2022 i then got my work capability assessment through the post on 25th july it got completed and sent back that day, I then received my decision letter on the 13th September saying that I have limited capability to work and work related activities. I’m just wondering when I’ll receive my first lcwra payment and if it will get backdated if so when will it get backdated from, my assessment period with universal credit is 14th -13th

Does it get paid with uc then ?

Yes it's paid as part of UC.

If you have been told that you no longer have to hand in sick notes then it sounds like a decision has been made ? Are there any attachment letters on your UC journal with a decision letter- it comes as an entry on your journal that you open up ?

No there is no attachment letters on UC journal.I recently asked them that what decision is made but my coach asked that i passed it through to the decision team .20 days had left but no answer yet.....

Hi, just need have a few questions (slightly clueless) I have been on uc since 2021 in 2022 around January time I started handing in my fit notes for my health conditions I had my assessment and got the lcw which I appealed and on the 14th of this month I won my tribunal and been placed in the lcwra group which im over the moon about my mental health has been really bad 😔 my question is will I be entitled to backpay and do u get extra money? X

Hi last year fromjune 22 i continously handling fit notes my assesment was in april and in august they asked me that i am not awarded lwrca or lcw i aked them i am not well yet and they also take a long time for decisiion. Iasked them to relook my case because my conditionis worse.from 11 august they made a mandatory recosideration but yet no decision...

Hi I had my assessment on 22 Dec but it lasts only 17 to 18 mins .Had any had same issue and what's about the result...

Been handing sick notes in since June 2023 with no brakes had my assessment for low cability for work on the 7th of march 2024 and got my decison on the 23rd of march that I have passed for lwcra when will I receive my first payment and will there owe me anything really confused about this

The LCWRA payment will be backdated to the fourth UC assessment period after you started handing in sick notes. So you should definitely have a few months backpayments.

Hi I've been handing fit notes in since 9/01/24 and I received my for my work capability assessment around 4 weeks later and posted it on 1/03/24 they received it on the 15/03/24 but as of yet I've still not received any assessment dates I've now waited almost 3 months does anyone have any ideas how long I'll be waiting thanks

They have only just received your form. It can take a few weeks longer to receive a date for assessment depending on the backlog in your area.

So I’m really confused with when I will receive my first LCWRA payment… I received my letter to say I’ve been awarded on 11th March. My first sick note reported to UC was 21st November 2023. I didn’t receive the additional money on March’s payment will I receive it on this months payment (April 2024)

my assessment period is 19th - 18th of each month

and I have no joint claim.

will I be owed any money and will I get the extra money this month does anyone know?

You should receive it for Assessment Period 19/3/24 - 18/4/24 - the payment due 25/4/24. You are awarded it after the first three full Assessment Periods. You submitted the fit note on 21/11/23 so AP 19/11/23 - 18/12/23 is not a full AP.

No you're not due any back pay. LCWRA with UC is payable from the 4th full Assessment Period after you started reporting fit notes.

Hi. Just wanted to ask about Lcwra and when it’s backdated from. I handed in my first fit note 29/06/22, however due to an admin error by universal credit I have only received my work capability assessment questionnaire on the 18/03/24. Therefore I am wondering if I am awarded lcwra when would my payments be backdated to?

If you've been handing in FIT notes continuously since 29/6/22, and assuming you get LCWRA, it should be backdated to the first assessment period starting on or after 29/9/22.

Hi I received the letter today I have been awarded LCWRA, if I’m due back dated how does it work if I owe debt recovery? I have a payment plan set up but will the backdate pay go straight to them?

Hi can someone help me as I am clueless and always worked up until recently so unsure of it works. I was told yesterday I have been awarded lcwra, been handing fit notes in from 30/11/23 assessment period is from 16th to 15th. Can someone tell me when I will see the payment and if there is any back pay (which I don’t think there is).

Was the payment not included in your Uc payment on 22nd April ? I would have thought it would be included on that statement. It may be an idea to leave a message on your journal.

I only got word back on the 1st of may. Does that mean I will be owed aprils?
